- Sponsoring Professorship Chairs at both King Fahad University & Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran and King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh.
- H. E. Abdullah A. Bugshan has been a leading contributor to Research Fund Program of the KFUM and a member of the said Fund Board of Governors.
In appreciation of the above The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, KING Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz presented H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan with an appreciation AWARD for the said continued support to KFUPM.
